Welcome to ProbonoNet for Lawyers
To take full advantage of ProbonoNet resources and online tools, you must sign up as a member, otherwise some areas of the site will be unavailable to you. Signing up only takes a couple of minutes and helps us track pro bono participation in Ontario.
Volunteering
Pro Bono Law Ontario can connect you with a number of interesting opportunities that enable you to give back to your community. Pro bono projects are available for all segments of the legal profession from practicing lawyers to retired lawyers.
Law Firm Pro Bono
Learn how Pro Bono Law Ontario works with Ontario's law firms to help them engage in the process of creating pro bono policies. PBLO also helps law firms develop tailored partnering projects with community agencies.
Pro Bono Directory (members only)
If you are a lawyer licensed to practice in Ontario and are interested in current volunteer opportunities, check out the Pro Bono Directory for a listing of projects that might interest you.
Library (members only)
The library contains resources to help you in your pro bono practice area. Be sure to let us know about any helpful resources that other volunteers might benefit from.
Best Practices Manual
Thinking about starting a pro bono project? The PBLO Best Practices Manual is a resource manual for pro bono projects. It provides guidelines for pro bono projects that will help ensure services are delivered effectively, efficiently and in accordance with the appropriate professional standards. In order for a project to be considered an Approved PBLO Project (and benefit from LawPro insurance coverage) a project must adhere to these best practices.
