PBLO benefits from the doctrine of cy pres. Cy pres directs class action residuals to legal service providers and other nonprofit organizations.

PBLO's volunteer projects are candidates for cy pres awards. We invite trial lawyers involved in such cases with a cy pres component to nominate PBLO as beneficiary.

Similarly, cost awards resulting from pro bono litigation (after disbursements) can be directed to PBLO's programming efforts.
